By the Numbers
Participants
We invite all WSU undergraduate students to participate! Presenting your work publicly fortifies your standing as a researcher and adds to your academic resume. Plus, SURCA awards are presented in nine SURCA presentation categories.
Judges
We welcome faculty members, post-docs, post-candidacy doctoral students, and professionals to sign up to judge presentations in one of the SURCA presentation categories. Serving as a judge is a great way to advance the scholarship of students and research standing of the university, as well as to promote your own field, program, and college. NOTE: There is required judging training for all post-candidacy doctoral students on March 21 at 10 a.m. or 3 p.m. in CUE 518–please check the SURCA calendar.

About SURCA
SURCA is the only WSU-wide event featuring the faculty-mentored research, scholarship, and creative activities of undergraduates from all majors, grades, and campuses—work that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to a discipline. It is a symposium hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research, which is part of WSU Division of Academic Engagement and Student Achievement. SURCA is part of the annual WSU Showcase, highlighting academic achievements across WSU.
