  • 3:00-4:15 p.m. (Phase 1): Students give their oral presentations. This phase of SURCA is open to judges and the public; please check our searchable presentation list to find the presentations you want to attend and the links you will need to access their Zoom meetings.
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. (Phase 2): Judges meet with presenters for a follow-up session to discuss questions and information in greater depth. This phase of SURCA is not open to the public — only judges and presenters will be interacting in the same Zoom breakout rooms that students gave their presentations in during the first phase of SURCA.

Faculty Who Are Teaching Spring Classes

We encourage you to include SURCA attendance and assignments as part of your class. If you have questions, please contact UG.research@wsu.edu.

Having Your Class Present at SURCA

If you are teaching a course and would like to include possible SURCA participation in mind, this is exactly the type of activity that we highly encourage. Student presenters can work in teams and submit their abstract as co-presenters, or they may work individually. Regardless, it’s still important that the students have a faculty mentor to guide them on their progress.

Mentors of Undergraduate Presenters

We welcome you to both the SURCA presentation session and the awards ceremony, where mentors will be recognized along with their award-winning students. We also encourage you to serve as a judge at SURCA—your experience with mentoring your own students makes you well suited to evaluate other students’ presentations.

WSU Faculty, Staff, and Community

We welcome you to the SURCA poster session and awards ceremony. If you have any questions about the event please contact us at ug.research@wsu.edu.
